Pertama volunteers, Legacy of Hope educators, and Harbour Link Group staff unite for a common cause.
BINTULU: Pertama Ferroalloys recently sent a group of volunteers to assist a child centre here in moving to a new building at Taman Seaview, Jalan Tanjung Batu.
Harbour-Link Group Berhad also provided support by sending volunteers and trucks to help with moving the furniture smoothly and efficiently.
Managed by the Advocacy Association of Early Childhood Educators (AECE), the Legacy of Hope Early Intervention Centre is a centre that provides services and support for children with developmental and disabilities at the early stages.
“We are very honoured to support the local community and we hope that our small act of lending a helping hand will make a meaningful difference in the lives of these children,” said Pertama in the press release.
Pertama’s commitment to community welfare aligns with AECE’s dedication to early childhood education.
Additionally, Pertama is interested in partnering with the state government to establish a RM4 million education fund in collaboration with Yayasan Sarawak.
“As our company continues to invest in education, we hope to set a standard for local businesses in Sarawak to give back and contribute to the well-being of the community,” the company added.
